I have a panasonic 9 inch tv with mechanical channal and cable
conector. When at time , now more, the picture slowly fades while
the vertical stabalization goes nuts and then black, then the sound.
If i put on the inside mane board, i get sound and a picture at times.
I can,t see any solder breaks.

They are almost certainly there. You may need to use a strong magnifying
glass. The break may not be anywhere near where the board is most
sensitive to pushing.

I will resolder the board with a a little fresh solder as mentioned in
the " Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ ", Thats if I don,t find them. It,s
a good little color tv and moniter.

I learned about the solder issue at that website to which I now have
as an archive for years.

I soldered some random and some suspects and tv is back to normal,
thanks for the soder joint tip, I like it.

You'd be surprised at how many things, esp monitors, can be fixed by
carful inspection and reapir of bad solder joints and capacitors.
Congrats on the repair.

I just read about solder cracks in Sam,s frequently....... at 45 years
old. I wonder how many good things I passed to the trash and if this
a indication of life in general, yikes.
