Protel negative

I use Protel 2.8 and it would like to print the drawings PCB in negative.
How to do that?

Same answer as I gave to your identical post in
sci.electronics.design, i.e:
"If Protel 2.8 has no built-in facility for that, copy the image to an
image editor which does, such as Paint Shop Pro."

Like Terry said, you need to use an image editor
like Paint Shop Pro.

First you need to convert the layout to a raster
image (i.e. a bitmap, such as a GIF, TIF or PNG
file).

I use a freeware print capture program called PDF
Creator (sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator), which
can capture to raster files as well as to PDF. Use
PFW's print feature. Capture at 600 dpi, and if you
need more detail, "print" the image at 2x scale. (This
will make the file larger, of course.)

Save the captured file as a GIF or PNG file (don't
use JPG, it's designed for continuous-tone images
not for sharp contrast diagrams). Then load the
image into an image editor such as Paint Shop Pro,
crop it (to save processing time), and convert it to
negative.

....also, JPEG does lossy compression, adding noise to the image which

can be objectionable.
The geaer the compression, the worse it becomes - to the point of
pictorial gibberish.
