Hi NG,

in my project with mixed SMD and through-hole parts the autorouter doesn't
use ANY vias.

The routing process is not successful with this.

I tried to get rid of this behaviour by setting MaxCountVias on 1000 - no
success.

Of course the board consists of two layers (top and bottom)

Any ideas ?

Should do the trick. The "default two layer board" strategy will place vias
as required according to the design rules you define.

o.k. - I found the problem
I don't know why, but the parameter "preferred diameter for vias" was
extremely high.
Changing this to more realistic values solved the problem.
