I'm no engineer, but I am quite tech-savy. However, this problem has me
stumped. The volume on my Proline 28N1 won't go above a certain level,
which is far too quiet for the room it is in. There is nothing wrong with
the *volume up* buttons on either the set or the remote, as the volume will
happily go down to zero and back up. It just won't go above a certain level
for some reason.
I know how to enter the service menu on this set, but none of the options
jump out at me to indicate as being useful in solving this problem. We had
a repair-engineer come out many months ago for a completely different
problem with this set (fuse gone inside the set), and we asked how we could
set the volume lower for when the set came on. He quite gladly did that for
us, but I don't remember how to get to the menu he used. Maybe that's the
menu I need to solve my current problem. Anyway, if anyone can help I would
be eternally grateful.
