are there any good projects that use a PIC12C509?
Thanks

playstation mod chips (though the 12c508 is a better choice as the ps mod
chip uses little memory) and hacking optus cable boxes, there the two i
know of anyway.

Jaycar sell some el-cheopo project book on PICs for around $20.
Or follow the links from Dontronics @ www.dontronics.com

What are you trying to do?
Experiment with PICs in general?, or use up a bunch of chips you
already have?
If you are experimenting then you'll need a Flash based PIC (eg,
16Fxxx) so you can reprogram it over and over.

Yes, an endless number of them!, but aren't you better off pickingoh ok then thanks for the tip david, ill make sure that i get a flash
pic
then, na i just wanted to play around with pics in general, i guess i
could
pla around with turning on and off leds and then play around with
different
source codes and stuff
do you ahve any project ideas

Yes, an endless number of them!, but aren't you better off picking
something you are interested in?
You are probably better off starting with something like the PICAXE
http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/picaxe/
The PICAXE allows you to program a PIC with a simple BASIC language.
Silicon Chip have done many PICAXE projects over the last year or so.
Dave
If you can't think of something to make yourself, then I don't likethey look cool, but is there anything that i can make my self i would
like
to make a robot or something but without having to buy a kir or
something if
you know what i mean

I just gave you a good one!dave,
i was looking for like only circuit diagrams and schematics of
circuits
online and was asking if anyone had any good references
