Projection TV lens ?

Do the lenses out of old projection TVs have any interesting use or value?

I take then apart and use one of them for a Magnifier to use on PCB,s
really works good looking for the ring joints.
I even carry them on the truck for in home service.

also, if you get bored, you can build an LCD projector.

Would someone explain to me how these can be used as magnifiers? Sounds

interesting. I know the first surface mirror makes good reflectors for
bouncing your ir around corners. Easy to cut and place where you need them.

Yah!! I hear they are really good with chocolate syrup poured over them!!
Ever try to fry a roach with one of those lens?? First you need to pin them
down so the don't run of then hold the lens very still, focus that point of
sunlight just behind the head!! Pop & presto!! Enjoy.
