yes

is the eprom a flash type? yes or no
is the eprom or flash, what ever it is, removable from
the mainboard?
if not removeable can it be programmed on the motherboard?
do you have the number ?
are you going to build a progarmmer?
is the softwre you want to progam into the device in the right format
for your programmer?
etc etc.

Yea, Serial..
Course you cant just connect the pins of the chip to the serial port.. if
that's what your asking

Depending on your bios some bios' have built in protection on a failure to be
reflashed using the floppy drive in your computer to flash it. Leaving it on
the motherboard. This is on a failed upgrade or just on a failed bios.

check with your bios manufacturer to see
if your bios supports this.

Yes.

and what software can i use,
The software made for that design, or if you are going to design it
yourself, you will have to write your own software.

what types
to program...
Just about any type the commercial programmers will.

You can obtain the schematics and the software needed to program eeprom
chips though a parallel port at www.batronix.com. However, without
registering their software you can't fully program an entire chip.

If you don't want to spend any money to use their software, I can provide
you with a key generator such that you may use their software for free.
However, I remind you that it is illegal to use a program to generate a key
such that you may use copyrighted software for free. I further accept no
responsiblity for you using the program I provide. Those that are interested
may post a reply to this message.
