Just a followon from my last message incase i cant get anyone to build it.

If you're lucky, Al might even make them for you. He might even lay
out a PCB for them cause it's easier than making them on vero board!!!

I have actually already ordered the PIC's from overseas and they will
program them before sending them.

If someone still wants to give me a price on making the units it would be
great tho and depending on cost i might still get you to make them (or ill
have a go myself). I am currently looking at making them inside a jiffy box
or similar with usb socket, 5pin xlr socket and db25 plug on it instead of
putting all the electronics in the db25 plug.

Thanks

Nah, I'm just about to start exams - I have no time for any outside
projects right now :-(

I dunno. I think PCBs are easier then breadboard for non-trivial
circuits, but veroboard wins for simple one-offs.

cheers,

Al

I used to hate that time of year.

These days i refuse to build anything on vero. I will resort to
iron-on toner methods before i go to vero!! In fact, i don't think I
have built anything on vero since I was an apprentice!

Good 'ole QUT just made me build 2 projects on breadboard. It was a
nightmare - bump the thing and it would stop working. I could have made
a simple PCB in less time then it took to find the loose connections.

At least you solder veroboard. Breadboard is utter crap by comparison -
except for prototyping really small projects.
