Product Labeling -- NOT!...

Why is it that folks seem to barely put *anything* on the labels
of their products? Sure, I know there are products made by
Peoples\' Electronic Factory #56 that are sold by lots of
(ahem) \"reputable\" firms and, thus, can\'t be uniquely labeled
at the factory (as that would cost a micropenny more per
item!)

But, even when firms put their name on a product, they often omit
model information, power requirements, etc.

Surely the *label* isn\'t expensive as I see many labels with
lots of empty space! Perhaps the ink is special and, in an
effort to pass on savings to customers, they skimp on the
ink required to label the product more thoroughly?

Gee, I\'m sure glad they are looking out for my interests -- not!
