Processor Execution model

hi,

Superscalar processors and scalar processor use execution model to
determine their performance for comparison. I have looked at
"Superscalar Microprocessor design" and only noticed that they have
used latencies for functional unit from the point of issue of
instruction. I want to develop an experimental processor execution
model to do performance benchmarking for dataflow applications?

I would like to know if there are examples that I can take a look at.
Additional material or links would be great.
