All,
Have a Chef Electronic Dishwasher Model 8957WW which is playing up. I think
the unit would be approx 4.5 years old. It has a set of soft-touch buttons
across the strip that is the control panel.
The dishwasher seems to be stuck trying to scavenge the water out of the
cabinet(a pump is running), and the 'Eco-Save' light is flashing steadily.
Turning the unit off and even leaving it overnight doesnt resolve it. The
other scarey thing is that the door can be opened, and the pump keeping
running (like the interlock has failed).
2 Questions to any knowledgeable souls:
Is there any way to perform a hard reset on these things? They have 6
soft-touch buttons across the control panel, but no sign of any sort of
reset button you see when the washing machine gets upset.
Secondly, has anyone encountered this sort of behaviour before?? It seems to
have picked the worst time to fail. It was running fine yesterday before
this problem.
It fried a main control board some 18 months ago, so maybe the same thing
again. It just didnt behave like this last time.
Thinking about burning it...
Any advice welcomed.
Cheers,
