Problems with Aiwa CX-70 and CX-80

Hi all,

I have some problems with this stereo systems:

at the CX-80 the displays of tuner and equalizer most time don't work and
at both systems the tape decks stop playing sporadically or it stops after
pressing the play button.

Any hints for me? Is there another newsgroup where this question is on
topic?

The first thing to check is the performance of the power supply section,
then check for any loose connectors, defective ribbon cables, cold solder
connections, and ect. You will need a DVM, and to know what to look for in
your unit. Your best bet would be to take it to a service shop to have it
properly checked.
