problem with sharp WS

last year I buy a sharp WS (32JF-76EIT), the first three month all was
ok, but later appear on the bottom right side of the crt a yellow
spot...
sharp service told me that nothing can be done and (service for this
tv is not expired yet!!).

Anyone have had the same problem????

P.S.

the yellow spot appear in 30 sec - 1 min (gradually) with white
background.... and disappear with darker backgrund...

Hi Raoul,

Looks like a problem with the shadowmask of the picturetube.

If the problem is with the picturetube you can try to set the brightness
and/or the contrast a bit lower. This problem is called local dooming. If it
will not disappear the picturetube must be changed, so you have claime it at
your dealer.

This is from a bad CRT. You should call your dealer and complain. There is
nothing that can be done, other than changing the tube. If you called a
small contractor who is doing warranty work, he may not have the skills to
properly change the CRT. You should find out from Sharp or where you bought
the set, who can do the CRT job on it.

Disconnect the rotation coil, if it clears then reconnect it and play about
with the positioning of the coil for best results. We have seen a lot of
these with this problem, down to a cheap coil and it's close proximity to
the degaussing coil causing coupling between the two.
