Problem finding a phone

I'm looking for a phone with a corded base set and a cordless handset.
I have caller id/call waiting, and want the id information to show up
on both the base and the cordless when a call comes in while I'm
already on another call. I've tried Panasonic, but when the id only
shows up on the phone not being used for the current call. Any ideas?

rings, not as part of the "2nd call" beep.

You have to subscribe to "Caller Waiting ID".

I've got the service, the problem is that the id and name only shows
up on the phone I'm using. So, if I'm using the cordless handset, I
can't see the call coming in by looking at the base unit, I have to
take the handset away from my ear to see who's calling. I know it
sounds like a small thing, but I'm on the phone a lot at my home
office, and use the cordless a lot. If I can find a phone that
displays on both the base and the cordless, I'd like to get it.

You could just get a CID box to put near the base.
