I require a power supply for my Motorola radio's I bought in USA. The
American power supply is rated at 18vdc & 1000mA.

Which is more important the 18Volts or the 1 Amp?

I have found several 18v power supplies but only rated at 750 mA Would this
matter ??

The 18V is the most important.

The current figure given is the amount of juice the device will pull (or
sink). So your power supply must be able to cope with generating a minimum
of 1A.

The 18 is more critical. A device can be damaged if the powersupply voltage
is higher than the rated value. Also the device may not operate properly if
the voltage is below.

So as long as you have that 18V, it is OK to have a supply that is capable
of 100A.

Use an 18v power supply rated at least 1 amp. More amps is OK.
