the ingredients are:

[guitar ]
+
1-dunlop crybaby
2-MKS power cable(connects from pedalpad to 2.1mm jack on dunlop)
3-sobbat fuzz breaker
4-ADL juice box-004 power cable (connects from pedalpad to 9v clip on
sobbat)
5-pedalpad rm-10(power supply for multiple effects pedals)
+
[guitar amp]

HERE's the problem:

with both pedals connected in series through pedalpad(and powered by
pedalpad)
NO SOUND when sobbat fuzz is engaged (sound travels through when
sobbat fuzz is not engaged)

here are some different setups i've tried and how they worked
1-wah(powered w/pedalpad + sobbat fuzz(powered
w/battery)............sound
2-sobbat fuzz(powered w/battery) + wah(powered w/
pedalpad)............sound
3-sobbat fuzz alone(powered by pedalpad).........sound
4-wah alone(powered by pedalpad)..........sound
5-wah + ts9(powered by pedalpad with same cord as w/sobbat
fuzz)......sound

how can this happen??
i'm stumped, any info would be greatly appreciated
thanks

If you could post a schematic(s) to alt.binaries.schematics.electronic or to
a website, it would be helpful. Trying to analyze your problem with words
alone is, at least for me, really difficult. Think pictures ;-)

I figured it out finally; the polarity is reversed on the fuzz
pedal(older japanese model), so a little cable splicing and i'm back
in business........

thanks for the tip, though. I'm figuring out how to read schematics by
trying to draw them. It is definitely easier to explain in pictures
than in words.

Bryan - Glad you figured out the problem. One of the reasons (my own
stupidity notwithstanding) that I suggested posting some kind of schematic
is that outside of a few musicians and perhaps some audio techno-geeks,
nobody here, regardless of their expertise, would be able to figure out what
you were talking about. With a schematic (and electronics being
electronics), almost anyone here, regardless of their particular field of
expertise, would have a much greater shot at helping out. Best of luck.
