from China)

This is a well known scam. Power factor correction has a miniscule
effect on power bills, because the only energy saved is some of that
dissipated in the household wiring between the meter and the appliances.
Since there's not much energy dissipated that way, there's not much that
can be saved.

It may not contain any components at all. Given that they're scamming
you anyway, and that it's coming from china, it may be just a plastic box.

Either way, in summary - don't waste your money.

Sylvia.

It's a scam. Even if it contained a capacitor it would not work as power
factor correction has to be done individually per appliance, which is
what the capacitor you find in fans, motors and other inductive loads
already do since decades.

Sadly it won't, and if it's not empty box it would actually draw some
power instead of saving it: a total waste of money.
If you buy one anyway please post some pictures of the internals. I'm
curious to see what old, useless and obsolete components the scammers use
to give the impression the box is not empty and actually doing something
useful.
Here's an interesting article on the subject at dansdata.
