Hi there, dunno if this is the right forum, but here goes:
I live in New Zealand and have recently bought a house. Problem is, the
power meter is making a loud intermittent hum.
I've checked the earthing, which appears to be fine, and I cant find any
dodgy wiring to speak of. I have also removed all the loads from every power
socket, and the noise is still there. It doesn't seem to be affected by
weather conditions/humidity, and doesn't seem to occur when only the lights
are running from the power box (ie, I switched off the mains rails at the
power box). It's got me stumped.
Perhaps should I be checking all the outlets, or do you think that it could
just be a faulty power meter?
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Jono
