Possible Issue with 4-Channel BLT Driver IC#BA6196FP

I am presently working on a Sony CFD-340 (older model I think) sans
service manual, so I am kinda playing it by ear (and I am no expert I
might add).

The unit seems like it was serviced previously, and the chip comes in an
HSOP package (nice and small). I have a feeling the chip was replaced
at one point in time, as the soldering job on the IC itself looks like
handiwork rather than direct out of the machines reflow line.

Anyone have any ideas on how to check this IC to verify correct
operation, or better yet, does anyone have a service manual for this
model they wouldn't mind sharing, and if not, feel like helping me out
on this a little?

What else could it be if not the BLT driver? Tested the motor and that
looks to be operating correctly. BTW, my concern lies with pins 17 and
18, the ones driving the sled motor.

Well, just figured it out.

Recap: After checking and rechecking for voltage on the sled driver I
managed to figure out that whoever serviced the until last time failed
to make a solid solder connection on one of the pins... after breaking
out my SMT hat, and getting down and dirty with some solder, all works
great!

Cheers,

Sean
