PM-128 or other LCD panel meter

I've got a need for an AC ammeter (expected load 200mA, planning on a
500mA or 1A range meter) and voltmeter (nominal maximum 24V, actual 30V,
planning on a 50V range meter). Much to my surprise, it seems that
digital LCD panel meters are less expensive than their analog
counterparts. In the past, I'd only harvested analog meters, so I
didn't know what to expect.

I see that a few places online sell an LCD panel meter going by the
designation PM-128. At first glance, this seems to be exactly what I'm
looking for. I can't find any spec sheets, though. Does anyone know if
these will, out of the box, test AC current and voltage?

The requirement for an isolated power supply is no problem for me, as I
plan on powering the meters from a separate dedicated battery.

Is the PM-128 right for me? I've seen references to a PM-128A and
PM-200, are those more suited to what I need? Anything even better?

(This is for a project to let me diagnose a burner control circuit at
the thermostat, since the boiler's in an inconvenient spot. Up until
now, I've been using my multimeter, which requires ripping the
thermostat off the wall. I'm looking for a more permanent solution.)

Thanks,
Mark
