Plotting currents...

Hi everyone,

I have started having this problem from last week and it starts being
really annoying. I am simulating a very simple structure (current
mirror) using the Spectre simulator. Although before last week
everything was working fine and I could plot all currents in the
MOSFETs just by selecting them on the schematic, I now get the message
that "Wave1 is not a waveform object that can be displayed and will be
turned off automatically". I have saved all currents so saving is not
a problem. I can't understand what has happened and although earlier
this was working, now it's not.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

DL

Double check that your simulation options are set such that current is saved.
(use result browser to confirm you do have the data). The way a click on a pin
is converted to a data access expression is controlled by CDF
simInfo->spectre->termMapping (if you use spectre direct). You can check that
did not change either.
For the rest: I would not say that everything was fine before last week, but
there was a glimpse of hope. My most bitter greetings to all 4wheel drive owners.

please post a CDF dump of that device.

In case someone else comes up with the same problem...

I found out that plots couldn't be plotted for the MOS transistors,
when one (or both) of their dimensions was (were) variable.

Huh? That doesn't sound right to me. I suspect the reason is not that, but
something else...

By "variable" what do you mean?

Andrew.
