PING DaveC - VSP Labs Power Amp Schematic?

Dave,

In doing some digging on the net, I found a posting on electronics-forum.net
where you had located a schematic for the VSP Labs TransMOS 200 amplifier.

If you still have the schematics, I would be VERY interested in obtaining a
copy, since my TransMOS 150 developed a problem in one of it's regulated
power supplies. I think I've isolated the problem, but having schematics
would really help.

Could you contact me at your convenience? Just remove the junk from my
email address.

Many thanks,
Bob

Surely that wasn't a so-called electronics-forum.net posting, it was
taken from Google's archives of sci.electronics.basics on Nov 30, 2003,
with postings by Terry King and Watson A.Name - "Watt Sun, Dark Remover".

[Note, electronics-forum.net has been copying usenet postings, without
any attribution, as if it was their own forum traffic! Shame!]

Terry King and Watson were referring to a post by DaveC, Dave Carpenter
of Sound Logic, in rec.audio.tech on May 30, 1997. Dave's email address
was voicebox-at-symbol-dnai-youknowwhat-com (address obscured). Many of
his posts were in sci.electronics.repair, so you might ask there, but I
don't see any posts with his ID after late 2002.

Thanks,
- Win

Win,

Well shoot - I thought I had a somewhat recent lead on the search for a
schematic for my amp. Sigh. I might try some further digging / searching
for Sound Logic & Dave, but if he stopped posting by 2002 I'm not sure I'll
have much luck. I may try a "ping" post in sci.electronics.repair if by
chance he still monitors the group.

Thanks for the clarification on the 2003 posting, actually from 1997, and
the information on Dave. I do appreciate it.

Regards,
Bob.

Dave may have simply gotten tired of the usenet scene, or changed his ISP,
etc., you may still be able to find him. Look up his postings on Google,
then post your own query to the groups he frequented. Or you may be able
to find someone who obtained a schematic copy from Dave.

Thanks,
- Win
