A model number would be helpful.

The one I had was a real pain,
You turned it on, and it would work, wait for about 2 or 3 minutes, it would
then display the word CODE on the display,
You then typed in the 1st number on the preset buttons, and push Mem, repeat
it until all the numbers entered, and then it should work
But I don't know if that worked on all Philips units.

Try pressing and holding the '1' and '3' buttons when turning on, then enter
the code. IIRC that's the method for the Philips (I'll see if I can find my
own doc's).

Enough stubbies make any problem go away. Or at least the worry..... :)

:

O.K.........

First I had a look on Philips website how the keypad was connected to uC.
5 buttons, button 5 in the LSB position.
When unit was ready to enter it was just a matter to enter the 1st digit
using
up /down and then find digit advance.Button 5 was advance digit
position/set.
took 4 try's.

There you have it.

I've been asked by a friend to find out how to enter the security code
on this car stereo.
These are the instructions for the car radio/cassette player in a 1993
Ford.

Select the accessories position.
Turn radio on and wait approx 3 mins for "code" in display.
Press 5 to begin code entry.
Use UP and DOWN buttons to select first code digit.
Press 5 to store digit.
Repeat for remaining digits.
