Philips tv shuts down after one hour

I have a Philips 25ST1704/02B. everything works fine for one hour,
then the TV shut down. The standby LED blinks. There are no problems
with the picture or the sound before the shut down. After 10 minutes
when i cooling grills are cold I can not turn it back on. After 20
minutes I can and the tv will work for 30 minutes.

Hope someone can help.
 
Check the pcb for bad solder contacts.

Most of the time, this is caused by capacitors in the power supply and scan
circuits becoming temperature sensitive. You can use a heat gun and an ESR
meter to locate these. Heat the suspect caps, and while warm take the ESR
measurement. This way you can weed out all the bad caps. Don't be
surprised to find about a dozen or so of them in your set, that do not meet
specs anymore.

I would suspect soldering over caps, caps usually get better as they warm
up.
