Philips "Pixel Plus" TV

Woah, has anybody seen one of those Philips "Pixel Plus" televisions?

Saw one when I dropped into Good Guys last night and the picture quality
blows away anything I've ever seen.

I saw one with a split screen With PP/Without PP demo running ...and the
Without side looked much better. The With side looked like they'd just
turned the sharpness up way too far.

You haven't seen much. Stay clear, Pixel Plus sucks.

The cool thing about pixel plus is the way it fills in between frames, so
that a moving object slides beautifully across the screen. On the other
hand, pixel plus can also look terrible due to digital distortion. Case in
point is Sky Digital here in NZ. Pixel plus makes a great picture look very
digitally noisy.
