Philips CDR 765 right CD reader

I have got a dual CD reader writer. But unfortunately the reader, at the
right, doesn't recognise CD. I have the message "no disc". I tried a lot of
different original audio-CD but without success. I opened the case and i
could notice that the CD reader had some difficulties starting to turn, but
seemed not to have this problem without no CD herein. Where is the problem ?

My opinion would be that the problem is with the manufacturer, Philips.

Call Philips. They repair these at a flat rate that is pretty reasonable,
$165 as I recall.
