Permute pins -VXL 5141

Hi, i'd like to manually swap pins, drain and source for a multi
fingered MOS.

I'm following the steps in VXL manual but the flight lines do not
swap. There is no warning or error in the icfb. Further reading
suggests that i need to do something with: permuteRule in CDF.

If this is the case, Is it ok to do this on a an entire library or
should it be done in a cell by cell basis or on an entire library? is
it the library from which the pCell originates or the library from
which it was instantiated.

any advice/further reading is appreciated.

Hi Stuart,

that's completely up to you. If you want all instances of that device
able to switch pins then you should set the permuteRule on the master
device in the library (put it on the symbol or in the CDF).
It's not an option you can set generally for a whole library, you have
to define it on the devices.
