pci core

i'd been using Altera PCI MegaCore 4.0 for quite a while with my
projects and i find it somewhat resource-heavy, i'm planning to develop
my own pci core, i have other reference core that i have obtained from
the internet, i'm looking forward to develop since my application is
very specific, I only need I/O transactions... any suggestions?

write a testbench for your reference design.

make change, test change, loop;
