PCB layout

I have a few circuit layouts that I've been trying to get printed out
so I can create a printed circuit board (I've read about the laser
printer method). I've downloaded numerous PCB software tools
(expressPCB, etc) and am having a hard time getting things to work
right so I end up with a design that has all the traces run correctly
and the like.

I was wondering if anyone out there that was familiar with design
software would volunteer and create the design in whatever PCB
software program you have and send me the file.

The layouts are pretty simple. If you go to
http://www.hiviz.com/tools/triggers/makeown.htm#transistor you'll see
three or so layouts (Schmitt, transistor photogate, and delay). I've
successfully created these on a breadboard, but I want to have an
actual circuit board that I can mount in a box and use permanently in
the field.

If anyone would like to help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jared

These are really simple schematics..... I'm surprised you're having trouble!
Several of them call for off board components but beyond that you should be
able to do this in a few minutes.... Did you try looking at Circuit Layout?
Even the free software you've looked at should be able to do these
projects.......

I'd be glad to help you work through the issues but you ought to give it a
little more effort....Send me an email if you're really stuck.

Why go to all the trouble of making a PCB for such relatively simple
circuits? Stripboard ('Veroboard' in in UK) would be my obvious
choice.

Those circuits are so simple that you don't even need CAD software. Just
design the layout on graph paper and transfer the pattern onto the PCB using
cellulose paint or a resist pen, then etch the board.
