FWIW, I used this company's product back in the 80's when I was a starving
engineering student. Looking back on all the heartache this awful software
caused, I would have been far better served drawing the boards in crayon
and etching them with a Dremel tool...

The reason a good workman doesn't complain about his tools is that he has
the common sense to buy decent tools.

Target 3001 is also very good. It has a good component library and it's
trivial to create new library parts and foot prints. It also has an
autorouter (but I haven't used it).

If you use this company to fab the PCB the S/W is free to download..

The authors of Target 3001 respond quickly if you have problems and have as
site here...

Colin (no connection with either companies)

I personally prefer CADSOFT's EAGLE (Easily Applicable Graphical Layout
Editor). It's stable, reasonably fast and has a nice autorouter. It's a bit
expensive, but hobbyist (Non Profit) licenses are available at roughly half
the price of the commercial licenses.

Later.
