I have heard that it is possible to use a cheap pc tv card with a bit of
simple code and psu etc. hooked up to a lcd screen to use as a tv. Has
anyone done it? or is it better to just buy AVERTV DVB-T-STB3 mentioned in
another thread?

Cheers

Well sure, you can use a pc tv card in a pc .. with Windoze or Linux.

You dont need a powerful cpu as the tv card will do DMA diret to the video
card ram.
The cpu is jist supervising -

you can use linux in non-X (not graphical user interface) if its a
dedicated to being a TV.

Do you know where i would find detail of code etc.?
