Panasonic video NVSJ220 fault

[tmcl]

On playback of recorded programs the tape goes into fast mode & EP
flashes on display.
Sound is distorted & the problem is intermittent.
Heads have been cleaned & new tapes used.
Any know problems for these vcr models

Give the audio\control head a good scrubbing.
