Hi, I have a Panasonic NV-HD100 video recorder that continually drops
back into standby mode.
The unit is powered by the mains ok but pressing the Power 0/1 button
results in the unit becoming active for a few seconds then powering down
to standby again.
There is a tape loaded currently and the eject button has no effect. The
tape was loaded when the fault occurred.

Any assistance in isolating this fault would be appreciated.

Probably has a split loading motor coupling. Part no: vdp1384 i think (from
memory).
