Hi all.
Hoe someone can help with this problem. A firend gave me his Panasonic
VCR L25 to have a look at as it had died No power. He really wanted it
going because he uses the audio insert for dubbing and what not.
Replaced all the caps in the power supply and gave it a good clean up
and it all fires up nicely.
The only problem still apparent (this was doing it before vcr died but
he just put up with it) is that when you turn power on even with no
cassette the vcr wants to load a tape. Put a tape in as it is trying
to load and unload and all is fine to you want to eject tape. Sometime
you can get it to eject but mostly not. All gears seem to be in right
place and carraige in good condition.
Would I be looking at a mode switch problem or maybe a problem with
the carraige loading mechanism or just something else.
He gave me a L20 as spare parts but that one has totally different
problems. Will see how I go on this one before posting info about the
other.
Any replies mostly appreciated.
