Hi.

I have this phone, but a special kind of diode is broken... it is Z607. I
think is a rectifier. I want to replace it, but I cannot find its
datasheet. Does someone has any idea of what is it and what can i use to
replace it ?

Thanks

This is a Zener diode according to the location description. You can get a
number of them in the 3 to 10 volt range, and try them to see which one
works the best. They are not expensive. When you try one that is close to
the proper value the unit will work, if there are no other faults. Most of
these in the small phones are rated at 1/4 or 1/2 Watt. Get the 1/2 Watt
type to experiment with.

Panasonic does not sell their cordless phone service manuals any more. They
will tell you to send them the phone. Most of the time, they service these
at a flat rate. You have to call them.

The service rep for your area should be with the instruction sheet that came
with the phone, or there will be general authorized service information.
Most models have an 800 number sticker on the bottom of the base unit. You
will need the model number of the base unit when you call them.

When we get these from out customers, and it is not a simple fix, we call
the manufacture to have an idea of the base cost, and send them the complete
phone for service. This usually works out more efficient in the end, and
there is a 90 day warranty for the repair.

We also found that it was generally not worth to service these if the phone
was more than about 3 years old.
