Panasonic Cordless Phone - Low Battery Warning

I have a Panasonic Cordless Phone that works great. It has one small
problem: once the battery is fully charged after about 1/2 an hour of use
the low battery warning starts to go off(beeping and led flashes). But if
you can stand the beeping the battery will still last - approx 10 more hours
of talking. Is there a pot that can be adjusted for the low battery warning
or is it some kind of voltage divider and one of the resistors it out of
tolerance? Thanks in advance.

It is possible that the battery is on the edge of specs from age, or
starting to fail. It is working at borderline, and the uPC in the handset is
seeing this. I have never seen any pot for this function in any of the
cordless phones I have worked on, but I have not seen them all.

It would be best to try another battery before deeming the phone unit as
defective. I have seen this before, and the new battery replacement fixed
the fault.
