Output Transistors for Bryston 2B Amplifier

Can someone give me a replacement part number for the output
transistors for this amplifier. I cant locate the numbers used on the
schematic, I suspect these are Bryston internal numbers. Are ther any
modifications to these amplifiers that anyone has done to improve the
sound etc?. What about adjustments to be made after replacing the
Outputs?.

Unless you can determine the exact part used and are willing to
purchase 3 to 4 times the number of parts you need in order to match
them to the remaining good original parts using you curve tracer, you
would be best served to order the parts from Bryston. A significant
part of the Bryston sound is the matching of output devices. It can
take a pool of 20 or more parts to get a set of six that match gain
with no more than +- 5% variation.

If you really love your amp, and you are not a skilled technician, let
them fix it.

I made an error in my post the amp is a 3B (not sst or any letters after 3B).
I am located outside North America so the shipping for repairs may be too high.

Talk to Bryston. They have accomodated me numerous times in the past.
They have even told me what the transistors crossed too. Don't
remember the #'s for the 3B but the 4B uses the same ones. Send them
a email and maybe you'll get some of there outstanding customer
service as i've come to expect from them.

My 3B is 20 years old, but the above post is the NTE equivalent. (chrome handles, 3 LEDs
across the front, later series had 2 Bi-colour LEDs).

One complimentary is 2N6609, but again, my amp is ancient. I'd have to pop off the other
cover to see its complimentary.

Luckily I live in Toronto, near their repair center. Way back, I used to install these
amps into nightclubs for background and even full range/high frequency/bass, you name it!!
No fans to worry about, rock solid reliability, and fantastic sound.

I don't think there is much that can be improved on in this amp. The power supply is very
good (mine is old, so it doesn't have torroidial transformers) but it does have
independent transformers (x2 power supplies). I have a decent preamp, the amp alone is so
transparent.

Based on emails I got it seems the original transistors are 2N6609 and
2N3773. The Amp dows have these on one Channel and a mix on the other.
