OT: USA Hires UK Murderers for $300M

The US Army recently awarded a nearly $300M contract for overall
management of the application of private security services in Iraq to a
newly formed UK firm by the name of Aegis Defense Services Ltd. This
company is managed and operated by former UK SAS and South African
murderers who have made their living by bombing and assassination of
civilian population resistance elements. It is more than clear from the
biographical track record of many of the Aegis prime actors, such as CEO
T. Spicer, that this is nothing less than a contract for "hit men" of
which the US Defense Dept can wash their hands as to any illegal
involvement. Something is very wrong when the US stoops to hiring a gang
of thugs and murderers-for-hire with a well-documented record of
perpetrating murders of civilians in Northern Ireland and black African
activists in places such as South Africa- individuals who by all rights
should be serving life prison sentences. This story has not received the
coverage it deserves in main stream America media, and DoD has not been
responsive to the many protests it has received from many public
interest organizations as well as several members of Congress. This is
clearly a device to hide this immoral and outrageous expenditure of US
taxpayers' dollars on a truly evil enterprise. In consideration of the
background of the Aegis participants, it is clear that the published
statement of work of this contract is a complete fraud, these people
were hired to execute a scorched Earth policy of murder and intimidation
of Iraqi civilians on the basis of even a suspicion of insurgent
activity and/or support and/or sympathy. This is what Bush calls
democracy and nation building?- think not.

Please - they are 'civilian contractors' and we are supposed to get very upset
when the resistance... er... I mean vile terrorists, kills one of them.

But apparently "they" aren't supposed to be bothered when about a dozen
people just walking down the street minding their own business are gunned
down in cold blood, for the crime of being "suspects." I saw this on
US TV - a camera in the airplane that was doing the killing, and the
voice-over called the victims "suspects." So there really is murdering
going on over there. And the warriors are acting like they're proud of it.

Shudder!

Thanks,
Rich

They are not warriors.
They are soldiers and mercs.

Well, it's sort of a generic term. The soldiers are simply "following
orders" (where have we heard that before); the real warmakers are in
policy rooms and board meetings and stuff. I used the term "warrior"
from my metaphysics classes to include all beings who love war instead
of peace.

Thanks,
Rich
