Filmed in QD and downsampled in realtime it is striking how far modern
broadcast TV has come since the last Coronation in 1953 when TV was new
405 lines and monochrome. The colour film stock was 35mm and big lenses
were nowhere near as tack sharp or colour corrected. Black and white
moving and still film images from the time are noticeably sharper...
