It's on right now, on Fox 11, in California. It's _wonderful_, if
you used to watch Rocky & Bullwinkle.

I remember watching this when we were young. My father walked into the
room, watched for a while, and said "Say, those jokes aren't all aimed at
kids".

I got it last year. You'll love 'em!

I'll have to look for 'em.

I remember watching this when we were young. My father walked into the
room, watched for a while, and said "Say, those jokes aren't all aimed at
kids".

The older I got, the more levels I got to enjoy it on.

Absolutely! I remember watching R&B with my son. He didn't understand
why I was laughing so hard at things he didn't think funny at all. I
loved "The Incredibles" this year for the same reason. It's a definite
"buy" when it comes out on DVD.

My favorite is "Monk". I have the first season on DVD and the second
season comes out next week.

...Jim Thompson

We just got back from the Lemoney Snicket movie. It was fabulous,
visually amazing... better than the first Batman. Go see it on a big
screen if you can.

Yes, Godunov, but what's the JOKE? What is Boris' name in the show?
Satunov?
Badinov.

The British joke in this context is that a well-known opera-house
advertised a production of 'Doris Godunov'.

Are you sure that this is the original motivation of the joke, though?
Boris is the canonical name for a Russian protagonist in Cold War-era
writing, particularly comedy. Badinov is simply phonetic; he's "bad
enough". Absent a statement from Alex Anderson or Jay Ward, I don't
know that I believe the Godunov reference is the _intended_ meaning of
the joke.

What's wrong with having two or three meanings? That's what humor is
all about.

And here, all these years, I thought it was merely "Bad Enough." )-;

Thanks!
