Don't let ANYONE deny you the RIGHT to vote. If you encounter any
problems whatsoever call 1-866-MY VOTE 1 to get immediate action. If you
live in a heavily Democratic precinct, especially with an ethnic
minority, bring video cam, digital cam, and/or tape recorder to document
the abuse, and obtain the names and identity of all right wing extremist
activists. Bring a cell phone and call the local newspapers and news
media often to document these people. Film and record all police
roadblocks and other government sponsored abuse.

What are the chances of civil war breaking out if Bush wins once again
with a very narrow margin? I don't ever remember seeing an election
contest where the respective voters are so hostile to each other. Will
we see blood in the streets? :-/

As just one example- a convoy with over 1000 trucks has been organized
in Alabama to "smash" any police roadblocks and clear the way to the
polls. Many people are mad and any number of scenarios could play out at
the polls if there is even a hint of voter suppression this time.

True, but those of us who hate everything Bush stands for are merely
pissed off. ;-)

Remember, Bush is a dangerous liar.

Erm, Hallowe'en is over now, Speff. Could you not have posted that a

What do you mean "police roadblocks"? You are not seriously suggesting
some voters may be prevented from voting, surely?? C'mon and get real.
This is America we're talking about; not some African banana republic!

Don't pay them no mind, they are kind of like the village idiots.
They act like someone will pay attention to their garbage.
People only look to see what they had to say, when they want a laugh.
Kerry, is nothing but a phony.
After the elections, then we will have to listen to them whine.

"Banana republics" are in Central America, not Africa, and the name
refers to an American banana importing company who solved the trade
union problems on their Central American plantations by encouraging
military take-overs of the relevatn governments.

You can do the same thing in heavily Republican precincts - EVERYBODY
deserves to have their votes counted, not just Democrats (and
Libertarians and Naderists).
And they WILL be- Ohio just shot down the Republican suit to get
challengers at all the polls- and the federal district court already has
precedent for the same- so their little appeal will fail. Apparently the
judiciary believes the Republicans are trying to "interfere with the
vote"- their words not mine- and they are known for a bit of savvy when
it comes to smelling crooks.

That's right, run on home to Mommy. Maybe she will wipe that snotty nose
of yours, give you some cookies and milk and if you are really nice, maybe
she will give you a crying towel, after this election is over.

The case made that you are responding to went so far as to suggest that voting
Democrats are the same as a bank patron wearing a ski mask -- a crazy and inane
implication. Disgusting, in fact.

And I completely agree with you, Win, that if the help is motivated by a real
interest to encourage fair and honest elections then there should be little
problem. But if the intent is to slow down the process of voting itself, on the
idea that less is better, or if the intent is to intimidate a certain group
within the ranks of voters generally -- then it's nigh criminal.

In Oregon, from where I hail and live, none of us have to go to the polls at
all. We can vote from the privacy of our homes, as all of us use "vote by
mail," now (and have at least since the 2000 primaries, though perhaps even
earlier than that.) There is no possibility of intimidation, except from our
own family -- which is much more likely in fundamentalist families than
elsewhere. All three of my children can vote, now. So what we do is gather
together for a family evening of debate and discussion and then we vote our
ballots and mail them in. No one is chastised for disagreeing in their final
vote, but we encourage everyone to participate in the debate on each issue as we
go through them. We have two Republicans and three Democrats amongst us -- but
all of us voted for Kerry. (We generally agreed about the implications of us
about voting for Bush.)

Wonderful family time, it was!

Jon

This is so much bullshit that it could only be passed on by you.
Democrats have through out our history been caught in voter fraud
scandals going back to Chicago and Texas in the Kennedy Nixon race.
Democrats have and will stoop to any level to win.

Having observers keep an eye on the democrats on election day is no
more "interference" than a bank gaurd keeping an eye on a patron in
line with a ski mask on.

You are a shameless sham artist. The crooks have been running your
party since its inception.
I see - you prefer the nazi crooks to the democrat crooks.

OK.
