Re: Prohibit the use of recycled sewerage effluent for drinking
purposes...
Good afternoon to all,
This e-petition is real and genuine. Dr Vinesh Oommen is a PhD student
at QUT but he has worked in research projects in various parts of the
world for WHO. Therefore, I take his email below quite seriously and
for the first time in my life have actually bothered to sign an e-
petition. I urge you to consider doing the same.
Have a nice weekend.
Vinesh Oommen
Dear Colleagues,
This is the most serious thing that has ever happened to you. In the
new year Anna Bligh is going to put recycled toilet water (not
desalinated water from Tugun). This will include toilet water,
industrial factory, morgue and hospital waste that will go into our
dam drinking supply.
This has not been done in any other country in the world and I have
researched this and she has been advised by all the scientists not to
do it as drugs such as ice, the morning after drug, hormones and many
other things such as radiation from chemotherapy cannot be totally
removed from the water no matter what process you use.
Serious birth defects, miscarriages and many other viruses will
contaminate our precious drinking water. Singapore uses 1% of their
toilet water as they have no fresh water and it is stated that they
are amazed that we are even contemplating using between 10-25% sewer
water and never has another country done it. This is very serious,
our water is our life and our health system would never cope with the
catastrophe that is predicted if she does this. If you don't care
about yourselves think about your children and sign this petition and
forward it on to everyone on your email list. Please!!!!! Note the
number and put down your details this is our future!!!
Please pass this on to as many people as possible. You owe it to your
family and future generations.
Prohibit the use of recycled sewerage effluent for drinking purposes
Please sign the petition once you click on the link belowďż˝
Brisbane's water grid will soon be delivering recycled effluent/
sewerage as well as hospital waste, mortuary waste and industrial
waste to householders to be used for domestic purposes (drinking,
cooking, bathing). This is a first-in-the-world living experiment
using a large amount of recycled water (Singapore adds only about 1%
of recycled water to its water supply). Not all pharmaceutical drugs
can be filtered from this waste product.
If you are any of the following - a Queensland resident, a Q'ld
citizen or a Q'ld elector in a nominated electorate - you are eligible
to sign the E-Petition to "Prohibit the use of recycled sewerage
effluent for drinking purposes".
