OT: Like Chess? Ever want to spectate real-time strategy?...

I was into chess, even USCF, in high school.
When the Internet happened, I got into real-time strategy (RTS).

Chess is kinda boring to watch, but RTS is fun to watch if you can find
it. Not talking about Asian clickfest RTS, talking about good old
Microsoft Age of Empires (AoE2) type RTS. It\'s still not much for
strategy, the players are in a rush (they enjoy being in a rush) so they
make lots of mistakes, but it does resemble basic strategy found in
chess and its pretty. Just keep in mind they are doing dozens of things
at the same time and lower your expectations.

The venue... It\'s called \"Voobly\". Not sure when they started or how
long it will continue, but it\'s the only place I know of to easily
spectate AoE2 games. Been doing it for months now at certain times
during the day. Super easy once you get it set up. You need to be
technically familiar with installing software. A prerequisite might be
installation of AoE2 on Steam. The utility that gets your Steam
configuration into Voobly is \"AoE2Tools.3.3.0.4.exe\" (or later). There
is a YouTube video, or you can follow the instructions (or both).

Why don\'t I play instead? I have played LOTS of RTS. I\'ve beaten you
plenty. I might again someday, but so much else to do.
