Reminds me of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professor_Branestawm
who "wrote to the water company to complain that the water came out
all twisted" and to the dry cleaner that his shirt came back "with
two of the button holes missing". Ahh, memories of when I was 6.

:)

Probably a subsidiary of Monster Cable Co.

**I disagree (not that I support Monster Cable™ though). More like a
subsidiary of the Polariser thing that Peter Brock was promoting (ie: It
does nothing).

True. I lost a lot of respect for Brock over that one.

At least Monster Cables™ do something (they connect your
amp to your speakers). They may be over-priced (I would argue that there
are MUCH more over-priced cable manufacturers out there), but their
cheapest cables do what they should do and only cost about double the
price of an unbranded product. There are some pretty unscrupulous
dealers who sell IEC mains cables for more than a Grand. Those cables do
EXACTLY the same thing as an IEC cable costing 3 Bucks.

The cable industry in particular is full of dodgy claims, as we know
all too well. I don't think I've spent much more than $40 on an
(analogue) interconnect.

**Nor do you need to. The ones I sell use PE insulation and are hand
assembled (not machine welded), with very high quality fit and finish.
They sell for around the $25.00 ~ $100.00 mark (depending length and
configuration).

I do like your idea of using coax for speaker cable too.

**Yup. Cheap, cheerful and VERY high performance. Can be a bugger to
terminate though. Truthfully, for most people and most systems, it too,
is overkill. Still, for 4 Bucks a Metre....

Well this thing still works as a piece of pipe - if you happen to have a
1 foot gap in your plumbing :-D

Technically I could agree, but Monster Cable deserve to die anyway for
being one of the shittiest bullies in the audio industry.
They even sued a family owned used clothes company because the name
contained the word monster! What will be next.. suing Disney because
of the Monsters movies? ..Oh wait, they did!

Maybe they feared the clothes company could sell coat hangers with
the Monster logo on them:)
