(And yes, despite my pacifist inclinations, I could be tempted to contemplate
such a miracle. A friend of mine who was one of the few women fighting on the
front lines in the 1991 invasion of Iraq, though, has expressed to me far
harsher and much more lingeringly painful ideas for GWB. I think she'd rather
those bolts *didn't* hit him, as she wants to keep imagining worse things and
that would spoil it for her. It's an important part of her therapy.
