Like Pons and Fleischmann, the authors are loading deuterium gas into erbium, titanium and palladium, but they provoke fusion with 2.2 MeV gamma rays, which aren\'t all that cold.
They speculate about using neutron mirrors as a possible way of keeping a self--sustaining fusion process going, but it\'s just speculation.
