For those that are interested. A not yet finished
synthesizable vhdl ARM model can be downloaded at:
http://www.tamaki.de/data/vhdl.tar.gz
Implemented as a Integer Unit in Gaisler Research's
Leon-Soc.

Note: Because I do not really know the licensing
situation, download at your own risk.

It would appear that there are patent issues associated with
implementing a full ARM core. As you are likely aware, this was done
once before and the end result is that the code was removed from the web
and has not been seen since.

I don't think ARM is going to come to you and try to squash you. But if
you continue with this project, expect to hear from them, politely, but
firmly. Or they may offer you a job :)
