Odd Motorola chip

I have a faulty immobiliser key-fob, and I was wondering what makes it
tick (or used to). I've identified the R707 SAWR and the 93C46 serial
EEPROM, but what the heck is a Motorola "CODEV.0 E31A CKLAC9639"?

I can find *nothing* about this chip, but I'm guessing that it's a
Microchip-licenced KeeLoq clone?

My plan is to clone the static data from the (presumably worn-out) EEPROM
then get it reset properly for $50, instead of buying a new unit for $200.

Check the pushbutton. It can get skin oils and other crap inside it eventually
which wil prevent it working.

Err, no; it *is* transmitting. Besides, I was enquiring as to the
identity of the Moto chip...
