NVJ1 panasonic VCR - user manual/tuning?

Has anyone got a user manual, or know how to tune a Panasonic NVJ1
vcr? (It's similar to other models with "NVJ" in the model.) I have
a service manual here, but the tuning instructions aren't in it!?
