No pic on Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR4

Any known issues with this LCD TV please? Someone just offered me one with no picture at all. On turn on, the light goes on by the fascia buttons below the centre of the screen but nothing whatsoever happens. No juice is getting through to any panels it seems: Especially nothing happens on trying to switch inputs.

Is there any fuse on the power supply panel of this TV please or could symptoms as non-specific as these be just about anything?
 
Sorry, I should have clarified, the Sony light goes on and off with the power button but there is no blink pattern, which kinda indicated to me that this might be a fuse?
